Even experts read the manuals. Our tech support staff has most of the books that are out on a wide variety of web topics. Here are some of their top picks. We think you'll find them useful and informative as well.

I downloaded a script, but I can't run it.

Make sure the script is a Perl script or, if it is not, that you downloaded a version pre-compiled for Sun Solaris Sparc. If the script is not a Perl script and does not generates errors when you try to access it, then chances are it will not be usable with your account.

If the script is a Perl script, then it can almost certainly be configured to work with your MMA account. But, if you have little experience installing Perl scripts, troubleshooting a third-party script can be a time-consuming task.

For more information on Perl scripts, you may want to consider purchasing the book Perl 5 Interactive Course (Waite, 1997). If you'd prefer to have a professional programmer install the script for you, please complete our Quote Request Form.
