I downloaded a script, but I can't run it. Make sure the script is a Perl script or, if it is not, that you downloaded a version pre-compiled for Sun Solaris Sparc. If the script is not a Perl script and does not generates errors when you try to access it, then chances are it will not be usable with your account. If the script is a Perl script, then it can almost certainly be configured to work with your MMA account. But, if you have little experience installing Perl scripts, troubleshooting a third-party script can be a time-consuming task. For more information on Perl scripts, you may want to consider purchasing the book Perl 5 Interactive Course (Waite, 1997). If you'd prefer to have a professional programmer install the script for you, please complete our Quote Request Form.
Note: MMA technical support staff cannot provide
troubleshooting of problems with third-party CGI scripts including but
not limited to: Perl scripts, C/C++ binaries, PHP or web/database integration
unless these services are specifically contracted. For these services,
please see our Quote Request Form. |
